Hope Bracelet & Snuggle Blankets

For I know the plans I have for you; plans to give you hope and a future. -Jeremiah 29:11

Every day I went in to visit Hallie my heart was filled with hope. Hope for healing, hope in being one step closer to bringing her home, hope for a future of watching her grow, and hope that she will be okay without her twin sister. Hallie was a fighter and her determination to overcome every obstacle in front of her was inspiring.

On behalf of our Hallie Hope, we offer these bracelets to families in NICU as a reminder to hold on to hope.

Fun Fact The emerald green band is not only the girls’ birthstone but green is also a color for hope. In the spring time the color of green offers hope of new beginnings and new growth.

I had the opportunity to do skin-to-skin with Hallie three hours, every day. Not only was this healing for me but I can’t help but feel that she benefited greatly from this as well. These blankets are intended to first be snuggled by Mom then left with baby, so that whenever Mom can’t be around, baby can still smell and feel close to her. For the snuggle blankets I felt fortunate enough to find a design that not only works for both genders but the colors, coral and mint, are the colors I was coordinating for the girls’ nursery theme. I also love the arrow symbol, as for me, it’s a reminder to keep moving forward.

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backwards. When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means it’s going to launch you into something great. So just focus, and keep aiming.

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day, saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow’.
